Wonderful World of Color

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Color blog hop brought to us by Joan of moosestashquilting

When I first heard the title of this hop 1 and only 1 idea popped into my head and I haven't been able to shake it.

This is what came to me.

Many of you are probably too young to understand it. but none the less its what I think of when I hear the statement  Wonderful World Of Color.

I hunted down several photos on line and was able to print them out on some white fabric.

Then what....I found what I wanted but had no idea what I wanted to do with them. They were a tad too big for mug rugs and I'm not a pillow person or a table runner user except for the holidays. So right now I'm floating between lunch mats or a series of wall hangings.  Maybe I'll try them for a luncheon, one without wine or red sauce then convert them to a wall hanging. hmmmmmm

Tinkerbell is my favorite.

I did some digging in my stash and came up with a very Wonderful World of Color addition for my mini's borders. The mini's ended up at 10 x 12.5

Thanks so much Joan for this fun hop. I know those of you who are old enough do appreciate it for the memories it brings to mind.  My biggest memory is that I watched a lot of it in Black and White, ha, ha

Please visit all of the participants in this great hop and leave them a note if you can. Here is a list of all of the people in this hop.

  1. The memories! From black and white to colour at the time was a big thing. Wonderful project!

  2. That is quite a unique idea for the blog hop theme. I’m not young, so of course I remember the huge transition from black and white TV to color TV. Like Disney, it was pure magic! Ha!

  3. What a fun project! Since I am at the very opposite stage of young, I remember the introduction of colour in media. At our house we didn't have a colour TV, but my resourceful mom put coloured cellophane over the screen so we could see colour like some others. Today we are blessed with so many beautiful colours and we have the opportunity to play with them to our heart's content. Thanks for the memories

  4. Well GREAT MINDS think alike Selina! LOL! That was also my first thought about this blog hop too and I wrote a bit about it, but didn't make my project about it. I loved that show and Disneyland too!

  5. Cool project! I also remember watching Disney on Sunday nights at my grandparents' home. We didn't have a color TV, so it wasn't as nice to view at home. Thanks for sharing.

  6. You and Daryl sure were on the same wave length for this hop. LOL!! You didn't disappoint...I knew/hoped you would go for the Disney theme. What a fun idea to print out those photos and turn them into your project. Being the Disney-head that I am as well, it speaks to me, but what a fun idea for any of the things we love from days gone by. You have my mind spinning with all kinds of crazy ideas now!

  11. Your fabrics around the remembrance photos are perfect and look just like the fireworks from the tv show. I can still see them sparkle. How special to find the photos and make something out of them.
