It's been a tough week

First thanks to all of you for the prayers and happy thoughts regarding my surgery..  It went extremely well. Surgery Tuesday morning, home Thursday afternoon.  I'm able to walk around the house quite well with the walker and cane.

The tough and very sad part to the week is that my faithful assistant Tink passed away on Saturday.  It was very sudden and thankfullly  there was little to no suffering on her part.

Here she is helping me with a photo shoot.

She is a huge loss to our family. She was loved and will be missed.

This is my most favorite shot of her and her dad.

She was a wonderful example of what a rescued animal can be.  She arrived at our house a bit of an emotional mess and turned out to be a loving girl as the picture above shows.  WE were privileged to have had her in our lives for 6 wonderful years where she shared her love with us each and every day.

  1. I'm so saddened to hear of your loss. Six years was just too short but how wonderful that you all found each other and made the best of each precious day. Our pets are valued members of our families and I know that your heart is breaking over Tink's passing. More prayers for your physical healing as well as your emotional healing. (((Hugs)))

  12. I feel for your loss! There is only one cure to it - finding a new one to love and be loved. Get well and as soon you can, reach out for somebody who will be loved as much as Tink was and will always be.

  14. I was reading back on your blog and read that you lost Tink right after your surgery. I am so sorry. I've lost my share of rescue doggies and while it hurts, like you said, the love they gave me was well worth any pain the grief brought that hurt. I know I'll move through it and holding their love in my heart helps. I also hope your hip is on the mend. Good job in taking care of yourself.
