The tough and very sad part to the week is that my faithful assistant Tink passed away on Saturday. It was very sudden and thankfullly there was little to no suffering on her part.
Here she is helping me with a photo shoot.
She is a huge loss to our family. She was loved and will be missed.
This is my most favorite shot of her and her dad.
She was a wonderful example of what a rescued animal can be. She arrived at our house a bit of an emotional mess and turned out to be a loving girl as the picture above shows. WE were privileged to have had her in our lives for 6 wonderful years where she shared her love with us each and every day.
I'm so saddened to hear of your loss. Six years was just too short but how wonderful that you all found each other and made the best of each precious day. Our pets are valued members of our families and I know that your heart is breaking over Tink's passing. More prayers for your physical healing as well as your emotional healing. (((Hugs)))
ReplyDeleteOhhh Selina, I am soooo sorry to hear about your faithful partner in stitching...it won't seem the same without her stand on your projects.. I always looked so forward to seeing where she would show up...it is never easy to say goodbye....listen good to hear your op went well and you will be recovering bit by bit...and keeping us in stitches as you did in the past.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about your loss. Tink was lucky when she found her forever home and I'm sure she was very happy with you two. I know she will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge. (((Selina)))

I feel for your loss! There is only one cure to it - finding a new one to love and be loved. Get well and as soon you can, reach out for somebody who will be loved as much as Tink was and will always be.
ReplyDeleteI'm still so very sad of Tinkie girl. You and she were so blessed to have your time together. It's never long enough. Never...
ReplyDeleteI was reading back on your blog and read that you lost Tink right after your surgery. I am so sorry. I've lost my share of rescue doggies and while it hurts, like you said, the love they gave me was well worth any pain the grief brought that hurt. I know I'll move through it and holding their love in my heart helps. I also hope your hip is on the mend. Good job in taking care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteOh my, Selina! I had no idea. Was Tink ill? I'm SO sorry, especially as I haven't kept up with your blog so I missed this. My deepest sympathies.
